Job summary

First Choice Nurses in Virginia is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts. You can pick shifts that fit your life, with the freedom to work when it works for you and daily/weekly pay options.

This role requires a Virginia RN license, 2+ years PCU experience, and current AHA BLS/ACLS, with vaccination or approved exemption. Per diem, hospital-based opportunities across Hampton Roads.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings.
• Monitor patient conditions and cardiac rhythms; document changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams; maintain EMR accuracy.
• Adhere to infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharges.
