Job summary

First Choice Nurses seeks PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, offering flexible scheduling and the ability to pick up shifts as needed.

Qualified candidates hold a Virginia RN license and have 2+ years of PCU experience within the last 4 years, with BLS/ACLS and TB testing current. Vaccination or approved exemption is required. Per diem pay is competitive with weekly and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
