Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Per diem roles offer flexible scheduling with options to work day or night shifts and to build a customized workload.

Shifts available include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with pay on a per diem basis and fast local staffing support. Experience in PCU and Virginia RN licensure are required, with current BLS and ACLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS current.
• AHA ACLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.

Education

Virginia RN License

2 years PCU experience (past 4 years)

AHA BLS Certification

AHA ACLS Certification

QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months

COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
