Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Shifts run 7a–7p and 7p–7a, offering flexible scheduling and per diem pay with daily or weekly options.

Ideal candidates hold an active Virginia RN license with at least two years of PCU experience, current BLS and ACLS, and be compliant with vaccination/testing requirements. Enjoy freedom to shape your own schedule with a locally owned staffing partner.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS required.
• Current AHA ACLS required.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital units and environments.
