AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for full-time day shift. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families to promote understanding and self-care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Active RN license; BLS and unit-specific certifications may apply.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.
• English fluency, written and spoken.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate progress.
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff and ancillary departments to optimize patient care.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Supervise care and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations and stabilize patients.
