Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking qualified PCU RNs for hospital assignments in a flexible per diem model. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a with options to pick your own schedule and earn competitive hourly pay.

Daily pay and weekly pay options are available, with staffing support from a locally owned team. Required qualifications include an active Virginia RN license, at least 2 years of recent PCU experience, BLS and ACLS, and evidence of recent TB testing and COVID-19 vaccination or

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required for PCU assignments.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
