Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. If you want the flexibility to pick shifts that fit your life, this role lets you choose from 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with per diem pay and daily/weekly payout options. Work within acute-care hospital settings and enjoy locally supported scheduling.

PCU RNs must be licensed in Virginia, with 2+ years of recent PCU experience, and current AHA BLS/ACLS. Vaccination or approved exemption is required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS current.
• AHA ACLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
