First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. Competitive hourly pay, flexible scheduling, and options to work as few as one shift per month are offered.

Per diem RNs assess patients, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer treatments, and collaborate with care teams in acute hospital settings. Requirements include VA RN license, 2 years PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, and vaccination or approved exemption.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS current and AHA ACLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
