Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. You choose shifts and enjoy flexibility, including the option to pick up an occasional or fuller schedule.

Shifts are 7a-7p or 7p-7a with competitive per diem pay and daily/weekly pay options. This role emphasizes high-quality patient care in acute-care settings and responsive local support.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN License required or licensure in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
