First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Enjoy the freedom to pick shifts that fit your life, with options for daily or weekly pay and a locally owned staffing team.

Shifts available are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with competitive per diem pay and the ability to build a fuller schedule as desired. Per diem nurses provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed in the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
