Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. You will have the freedom to build a schedule and pick up shifts that fit your life, with shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a.

Enjoy competitive per diem pay, daily/weekly pay options, and a responsive local staffing team. You control your shifts and can work as little as one shift per month.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.

Skills

Active Virginia RN License

PCU nursing experience (2+ years)

AHA BLS
