First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life, with options for daily or weekly pay and a flexible schedule.

Active Virginia RN licensure and 2+ years PCU experience are required, along with BLS, ACLS, and TB testing within the past year. Vaccination or approved exemption is also required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsabilités

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
