Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick up as few as one shift per month and to receive daily or weekly pay.

You will deliver high-quality patient care in acute-care units, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with physicians.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (or compact with Virginia).
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the last 4 years.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions; document accurately.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain timely electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
