First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA seeks experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia, including Hampton Roads. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with you selecting when to work and which facilities to cover.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License is required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
• Additional credentials may be required by facility

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status
• Administer medications and IV therapies and treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educate patients and families about care and discharge plans
• Adapt to different hospital units as needed
