Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. You’ll pick shifts that fit your life, with options for 7a-7p and 7p-7a schedules and the freedom to work when it works for you.

Active Virginia RN license and 2+ years PCU experience are required, along with BLS, ACLS, and TB screening. Vaccination or approved exemption is required. Daily/weekly pay options and local support make FCN a trusted staffing partner.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license active and current
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Follow facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapt professionally to different hospital units and environments
