As a PCU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care within acute-care hospital environments, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and care teams. Competitive per diem pay and the ability to pick up shifts that suit you.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience (past 4 years).
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional facility-specific credentials may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
