Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Work as little as one shift per month or build a fuller schedule with shifts that fit your life.

Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a with competitive per diem pay and daily/weekly pay options. Virginia RN license and current BLS/ACLS are required, with 2 years PCU experience within the last 4 years.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold testing completed.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience in past 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions in PCU.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families about care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units as needed.
