First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RN staff for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. You can pick shifts that fit your life, with options for daily or weekly pay and the flexibility to build a schedule that suits you.

Requirements include an active Virginia RN license and 2+ years in PCU within the last 4 years, plus BLS and ACLS. Perks include local support and hospital-based opportunities, with no rigid weekly commitments.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
