Job summary

The ideal candidate has WA RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months. Prior med/surg experience or a PCU/ICU residency is preferred, with opportunities for growth in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire
• 1–2 years med/surg experience or
• New graduate with senior practicum in a specialty area (e.g., Critical Care, ED, PACU) or complete PCU/ICU residency if no prior PCU/ICU experience
• Registered Nurse: WA license upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department and hospital policies, safety, risk management and regulatory standards
• Administers, oversees and documents administration of medications per orders and hospital policy
• Assesses patient needs across physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral and spiritual dimensions; plans and evaluates care
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in communication and care for diverse patient populations
• Documents care and patient status using the nursing process and coordinates discharge planning
