Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a registered nurse for the Lakeland Highlands Hospital to join the Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands team. You will provide direct patient care on a multi-specialty unit, monitor patients, and respond to emergencies while collaborating with physicians and the nursing team.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an approved nursing program, Florida RN license (or eNLC), and current BLS. ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required for certain areas, with NICU requiring NRP.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate license.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification current.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC certifications required for select units (NRP for NICU).

Responsibilities

• Care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies with high-intensity interventions.
• Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions with evidence-based actions.
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret patient data from monitors and devices.
• Respond to life-saving situations following standards and protocols.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care; evaluate progress.
• Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to plan care.
• Coordinate care and delegate tasks to team members as appropriate.
• Document care in the patient record meeting required standards.
• Demonstrate competency in unit-specific nursing skills and equipment use.

Education

Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license

BLS/Healthcare Provider cert.

ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas
