Job summary
First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Shifts are 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick the schedule that fits your life.
Per diem pay is competitive and daily/weekly pay options are available. This locally owned staffing team offers easy mobile scheduling and hospital-based opportunities, with no rigid weekly commitment.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license required.
- 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years required.
- AHA BLS current.
- AHA ACLS current.
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed within past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption as required by facility.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
- Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
- Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
