Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida seeks a registered nurse to join our acute care team. You will assess patients, design and adjust care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with the care team to ensure safe, effective treatment.

Requirements include RN license, Associate Degree in Nursing, BLS, and English fluency. We offer Day shift, full-time hours, competitive pay and benefits from Day One.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• English fluency in reading, speaking and writing.
• Basic computer skills to navigate Windows-based programs.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, evaluating and revising plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
