Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with day shifts. This full-time role offers tuition assistance, relocation support, and shift differentials.

The PCU provides high-acuity care with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Minimum qualifications include an RN license and BLS; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice (or compact/applicable temporary/interim license).
• BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and input from patient/family and health team.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health care team.
• Evaluates patient progress toward goals and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Participates in leadership activities and promotes growth of others through mentoring when appropriate.
• Maintains communication with other caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
• May supervise staff and manage workflow within the unit.
• Interacts with physicians, patients, families and external contacts to coordinate care.
