Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Patient Care Technician to begin with our training program to advance into a Medical Assistant role within the team. The role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, and supporting providers in a fast-paced clinic focused on geriatric and mental health care. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with no weekends or holidays.

A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. CNA preferred; BLS required or within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum of six months' experience preferred.
• Experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a CNA, must be registered as a Nursing Assistant (NA) within four months from the date of initial employment.

Responsibilities

• Taking patient vital signs.
• Rooming patients for providers.
• Cleaning and stocking patient treatment rooms.
• Assisting providers and nursing team as needed
