Job summary

Endeavor Health invites applications for a Patient Care Technician in the Observation Unit at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus, Elmhurst, IL. This full-time role runs 7:00pm–7:30am with every 3rd weekend and holiday track, adjacent to 155 E. Brush Hill Rd.

Position Highlights

• Position: Patient Care Technician - Observation Unit
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full-Time: 36/hr per week
• Hours: 7:00pm-7:30am with every 3rd weekend and holiday track

What You Will Do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What You Will Need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
