Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role includes assisting with patient transport, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting the Non-Invasive Diagnostic Services department.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of direct care experience or related coursework. Training is provided; shifts include mornings with various options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of direct care experience or completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in streamlining workflow in Noninvasive Diagnostic Services, including patient transport and ambulation with devices.
• Clean TEEs probes, help order supplies and stock the department, and record patient information for documentation.
• Assist with inserting/removing peripheral IV catheters under RN direction and prepare patients for procedures.
