Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Central Resource Team/Float Pool at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. The role supports RNs and delivers essential patient care during a 36-hour full-time weekly schedule, including night shifts and rotating holidays.

Ideal candidates have CPR certification and hospital PCT or CNA experience, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize and follow directions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Care Tech or nursing assistant preferred.
• Ability to work with RN supervision and follow established procedures.

• Provide patient care tasks and procedures under the direction of an RN.

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Care Technician - Central Resource Team/Float Pool
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital
• Full Time: 36 hour work week
• Hours: Night Shift: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am (12 hours) Rotating Holidays/Weekends

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or Basic Life Support
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training courseor minimum six monthsof previous patient care experienceor equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Recent hospital PCT experience at least 6 months
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
