Job summary

Unknown Biotech Leader in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Scientist to support assay development in a regulated R&D environment. This long-term contract role offers $49/hr on W2 DOE and comprehensive benefits.

The successful candidate will have hands-on molecular biology experience, knowledge of DNA/RNA techniques (PCR/qPCR/dPCR preferred), strong data analysis skills, and familiarity with JMP. Bachelor's or Master's in a related field is required, with 0–5 years of lab experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
0–5 years of laboratory experience in assay development or molecular biology.
Hands-on experience with DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR.

Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory experiments following established protocols, safety guidelines, and data integrity standards.
Perform DNA/RNA isolation and molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, and preferably digital PCR.
Analyze experimental data using JMP and document results in electronic laboratory notebooks (eLN).
Prepare technical reports, protocols, and supporting documentation for design history files.
Troubleshoot experimental issues and contribute to project timelines and objectives.
Present findings to supervisors and project teams as needed.
Support routine laboratory operations, inventory management, safety compliance, and quality system requirements.
