Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. in Hercules, CA is seeking a PCR Quality Control Supervisor II to oversee daily PCR QC operations, ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and timely product release.

The role supports commercial manufacturing, raw material testing, stability studies, investigations, and NPIs. You will lead a high-performing QC team, manage staffing and training, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating across Manufacturing, QA, MSAT, Planning, and Supply Chain to

Qualifications

• BS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field (MS preferred).
• 5+ years in QC, QA, manufacturing support, or regulated laboratory environments.
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience with GMP, FDA, ISO 13485, product release testing, and manufacturing support.
• Strong knowledge of qPCR, RT-PCR, ddPCR, nucleic acid testing, and protein analysis.
• Experience with investigations, root cause analysis, equipment qualification, and validation.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience is preferred.
• Experience with investigations, change controls, CAPAs, and nonconformances is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily PCR QC laboratory operations and testing priorities.
• Manage staffing, training, cross-training, and performance development.
• Ensure timely review and approval of QC data, investigations, and quality records.
• Support production, NPIs, and increasing PCR demand.
• Drive continuous improvement and lead-time reduction.
• Partner with Manufacturing, QA, MSAT, Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted product supply.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and quality system requirements.
