Job summary

Amtec Staffing is seeking a Final Inspector to visually, electrically and dimensionally inspect PCB assemblies, and to perform receiving inspections for outsourced processes and final assemblies. The role requires working under a microscope for at least 6 hours per day and documenting results accurately.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and specs, performing first article inspections, and assisting in root-cause analyses and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of final inspection experience in electronic components.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications and PCB Gerbers.
• Skilled in electrically measuring resistors and capacitors.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and/or engineering specifications to obtain information such as specified material, electrical, cosmetic requirements and workmanship instructions.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of PCB assemblies to ensure workmanship complies with engineering drawings and IPC-610 standards.
• Inspect electrical/electronic components using meters or instruments to confirm adherence to specifications.
• Inspect conformal coating under both black and white light.
• Perform first article inspections of boards after Thru-Hole; record results.
• Perform sub-assembly, box build, shipping, and receiving inspection as required.
• Assist in failure investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Job description

The Final Inspector will perform visual, electrical and dimensional inspection of printed circuit board assemblies; will be responsible for performing receiving inspections of outsourced processes and final assembly inspections while recording results and preparing various quality documents. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 6 hours per day under a microscope.

• Read blueprints and/or engineering specifications to obtain information such such as specified material, electrical, cosmetic requirements and workmanship instructions.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure workmanship which complies with the appropriate requirements from engineering drawings, process specifications, IPC-610 standards, J-STD-001 and customer specific criteria.
• Performs inspection on electrical or electronic components by using electrical meters or instruments to confirm adherence to electrical specifications.
• Performs inspection of conformal coating under both black and white light.
• Perform and record results of first article inspections of boards after Thru-Hole.
• Perform sub-assembly, box build, shipping, and receiving inspection as required.
• Assist in failure investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action activities and quality improvement projects.
