Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. in Forest Grove, OR, is seeking a responsible failure analysis technician to identify and investigate PCB failures, improve yield, and support product reliability initiatives.

You will analyze electrical and mechanical characteristics, use test equipment, read PCB prints, collaborate with engineering and production, and maintain documentation. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum three-year PCB industry experience with quality background.
• Ability to read customer PCB prints, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with troubleshooting and isolating PCB product failures to the lowest electrical net.
• Strong attention to detail; able to work with other departments and team members.

Responsibilities

• Gather and track PCB lot information.
• Compile and maintain TTM database for reporting requests.
• Generate standard and non-standard customer reports as requested.
• Assist in the verification of internal quality documentation delivered to the customer.
• Work with production control and engineering to disposition customer returns and complaints.
• Provide customer complaint and return feedback to engineers and management for appropriate corrective action resolution.
• Troubleshoots, debugs, and determines root cause at multiple system levels for PCBs.
• Analyses circuits and topologies to identify marginal failure root cause.
• Develops, maintains, and improves all troubleshooting solutions with-in area of responsibility.
• Works with various engineering groups to determine if the data indicates a need for process/product improvements and provides input on improvement opportunities.
