Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Chemical Additions Technician to ensure proper etching of PWBs. You will operate and maintain plating equipment, enter process parameters, and work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

The role requires familiarity with computers, good manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime and weekends. ITAR facility requires US citizenship or lawful permanent residency; prior Sanmina experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with computers.
• Ability to work in and around chemicals.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Position requires standing, walking, and handling transportation carts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Overtime and weekend availability.
• Knowledge of PCB plating equipment and processes: Outer Layer etch, Tin Plating, electroytic copper plating, Electroless process.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good visual acuity.
• Prior Sanmina experience and systems knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter operating parameters via computer interface.
• Operate and maintain department equipment.
• Measure chemical adds to baths or sumps.
• Transfer solution between tanks, totes, or barrels.
• Replace filter material used throughout process tanks.
• Clean, dry and dispose of used filter material.
• Inspect product for defects and conformance to specs.
• Extract computer reports.
• Assist in routine preventative maintenance.
• Scrub and clean mechanical devices or hardware.
• Assist in replacement of non-precision mechanical devices.
• Work on, in, and around open sumps and plating tanks.
