Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop, evaluate and maintain PCB manufacturing processes for SMT, Through-Hole, and related assemblies. You will drive continuous improvements, document manufacturing instructions, and perform cost analyses to boost producibility, quality and efficiency on the production floor.

The role is hands-on, with up to 85% time on the floor, leading NPI from release through production, and coordinating customer-driven design changes to maximize

Qualifications

New product introduction from initial release through production process development and customer delivery.
Manufacturing instruction documentation for use in the manufacturing process for process controls, process validation, process repeatability and customer approvals.
Assist with cost analysis for improvement projects, equipment risk analysis, specifying new equipment to meet the growing needs of the manufacturing department.

Responsibilities

Stencil design and procurement.
Reflow oven, wave solder, and hot air rework temperature profiling.
Equipment programming, setup and operator training for: AOI, X-Ray, Ionograph, SMT placement, Reflow ovens and Wave solder equipment.
