Job summary

Compunetics, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to take ownership of selected manufacturing processes and related process controls. You will strengthen existing controls, work instructions, and participate in engineering/quality activities.

Responsibilities include assessing equipment and human resources, and recommending new equipment to senior management. Some direct supervision of technicians and operators may be required. A BS in engineering and PCB manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3–5 years' PCB manufacturing experience with process control and improvement.
  • Experience supervising technicians or operators preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in failure analysis, process control, and cost reduction.
  • Familiarity with SPC techniques and quality metrics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of selected manufacturing processes and related process controls.
  • Strengthen existing controls and work instructions.
  • Introduce new controls as needed.
  • Participate in engineering and quality activities.
  • Assess and monitor equipment and human resources to meet production requirements.
  • Select and make recommendations for new equipment to senior management.
  • May require direct supervision of technicians and operators.
