Job summary

Astrix in Irvine, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support and improve PCB production processes. Onsite role focusing on process engineering, equipment qualification, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

The position involves developing and validating manufacturing processes, supporting SMT and selective soldering, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. 12-month contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Experience with PCB manufacturing and process engineering.
Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ verification & validation.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on approach in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, improve, and validate manufacturing processes and equipment.
Support PCB manufacturing, SMT, and selective soldering.
Perform IQ/OQ/PQ equipment qualification and validation.
Troubleshoot PCB manufacturing and testing issues.
Analyze workflows, layouts, materials, and production processes to improve efficiency and quality.
Develop testing methods and support process verification and validation.
Collaborate with vendors, technicians, and teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Prepare technical reports and maintain manufacturing/process documentation.
Ensure processes comply with quality and regulatory requirements.
