Job summary

Sanmina is seeking a detail-oriented PCB Estimator to manage RFQ processes. You will be the first technical reviewer, interpreting customer data to create accurate cost estimates and ensuring all specifications are correctly assessed for quoting.

This ITAR facility requires US citizenship or permanent residency. You will collaborate with CSRs, Sales, and manufacturing teams, interpreting BOMs, PCB stack-ups, and fabrication drawings while utilizing Gerber viewing software to gauge design

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in cost estimation or CAM design for PCB manufacturing.
Familiar with IPC 600/610 for Class 2, Class 3 and Class Space designs.
Solid ability to read and decipher technical prints and customer notes.
Direct experience with viewing Gerber data is essential.

Responsibilities

Interpret customer data, BOMs, Fabrication drawings and specs to determine manufacturing complexity.
Retrieve and analyze customer data, manufacturing prints, and notes to determine board attributes and processes.
Use Gerber viewing software and PCB layout knowledge to assess design complexity.
Complete and verify internal estimate sheets, ensuring all requirements are captured.
Collaborate with CSRs and Sales to clarify needs and resolve data ambiguities.
Research specifications in internal resources (e.g., Sanmina Net) and apply the correct military or commercial specs.
Manage file transfers from customers (FTP) and organize data in correct locations.
Communicate clearly with internal teams via email and phone.
