Job summary

Amphenol Corporation's Amphenol High Speed Products Group in Raleigh is seeking a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer to join the team. You will use CAD tooling to design and draft PCBs, create production drawings, and ensure manufacturability through tolerancing and design for manufacturing checks.

Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering to resolve deviations, update engineering standards, and maintain organized file systems.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
  • Additional skills include technical capacity, communication proficiency, problem solving/analysis and the ability to collaborate as a member of a team.
  • Experience with Cadence Allegro or Altium required.

Responsibilities

  • Use computer assisted design/drafting for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB).
  • Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
  • Utilize knowledge of dimensional tolerancing, PCB manufacturing capabilities, and design for manufacturing checks.
  • Resolve technical responses from PCB manufacturing deviations.
  • Update Customer Application notes and Engineering Standards.
  • Sets up and maintain an organized file system for production drawings.
  • Communicate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering regarding new and revised designs.
