Job summary

Second Order Effects is seeking a PCB Designer to own high‑performance PCB layouts from concept to manufacturing handoff. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and SI/PI engineers to balance performance, schedule, and cost.

The role emphasizes DFM/DFT practices, IPC standards, and close interaction with fabrication vendors to ensure manufacturability and reliability across aerospace, automotive, and other demanding applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field.
• 3+ years of applied PCB design experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of PCB layouts from concept through manufacturing handoff.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness and perform design rule checks with vendors.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize layouts for thermal and EMI.
