Digital Dynamics Inc. seeks a Senior PCB Design Engineer to lead the design and layout of complex PCBs for high-performance control systems.

You will collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams to deliver robust designs from concept through production. The role requires 8+ years in PCB design, strong Altium Designer expertise, and a deep understanding of multi-layer layouts, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in PCB design and layout.
• Advanced experience with Altium Designer or similar PCB CAD tools.
• Strong expertise in multi-layer PCB design, signal integrity and high-speed layout, stack-ups, materials, and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex, multi-layer PCB layouts (mixed signal, power, high-speed).
• Translate schematics into optimized layouts with emphasis on signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal performance.
• Own PCB layout specialization, ensuring best practices across designs.
• Prepare and release manufacturing packages (Gerber/ODB++ outputs and documentation).
• Define PCB stack-ups, materials, and fabrication requirements in collaboration with EE and vendors.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure efficient fabrication and assembly.
• Maintain PCB libraries and component footprints in Altium.

This role is critical in strengthening DDI’s PCB layout capability, ensuring high-quality design releases, and enabling scalable, manufacturable solutions.You will partner closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams to deliver robust designs from concept through production.**Key Responsibilities*** Design and develop complex, multi-layer PCB layouts (mixed signal, power, and high-speed designs)* Translate schematics into optimized layouts with strong consideration for signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal performance* Own PCB layout specialization, driving best practices and consistency across designs* Prepare and release complete manufacturing packages, including **Gerber/ODB++ outputs and documentation*** Define PCB stack-ups, materials, and fabrication requirements in collaboration with Electrical Engineering and vendors* Apply strong **DFM/DFA principles** to ensure efficient fabrication and assembly* Manage and maintain **PCB libraries and component symbols/footprints (Altium)*** Collaborate cross-functionally with **Mechanical Engineering (ME)** on enclosure, fit, and thermal constraints* Support prototype builds, debug, and root cause analysis for PCB-related issues* Work with external fabricators and CM partners to resolve design and production challenges* Offload and support Electrical Engineering by owning layout execution and release quality* Contribute to continuous improvement of PCB standards, tools, and processes## Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field* 8+ years of experience in PCB design and layout* Advanced experience with **Altium Designer** (or similar PCB CAD tools)* Strong expertise in: + Multi-layer PCB design (6+ layers) + Signal integrity and high-speed layout + PCB stack-ups, materials, and fabrication processes* Experience creating full design release packages (Gerber/ODB++, fab and assembly drawings)* Deep understanding of DFM/DFA principles* Strong cross-functional communication skills**Preferred Experience*** Semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, or aerospace systems* EMI/EMC design and mitigation* HDI or rigid-flex PCB design* Experience working with CM/EMS partners* Familiarity with PLM (Arena) and ERP (SYSPRO) systems
