Job summary

Westak Circuits in Forest Grove, Oregon, seeks an experienced CAM operator to work on-site at our PCB manufacturing facility. The role focuses on editing data with Genesis CAD/CAM software, panelizing tools, and releasing manufacturing data to the production floor.

Candidates should have at least three years in PCB CAM, with familiarity in HDI technologies and scripting (Bacon JTS) a plus. Strong reading of fabrication drawings, basic arithmetic, and clear communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Use Genesis CAD/CAM software and PCB process knowledge to edit data and generate tools.
• Process DRC/DFM to identify design and manufacturability concerns.
• Modify customer data files and interface with customers and engineers.
• Panelize and release manufacturing tools to production floor (inner/outer layers, soldermask, silkscreen, drill, rout, test).
• Adhere to safety rules and maintain a neat, organized workplace.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure tooling accuracy and on-time production.

We are seeking experienced CAM Operators to work on-site, for both our California and Oregon facilities. The position consists of but is not limited to the following:

REPORTS TO: Front End Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must utilize Genesis CAD/CAM software and their Printed Circuit Board process knowledge to edit electronic data and generate working manufacturing tools.
• Process DRC / DFM's to identify design and manufacturing concerns.
• Modify customer supplied data files and interface with customers and engineers.
• Panelize and release manufacturing tools to the production floor. This consists of: Innerlayers, Outerlayers, Soldermask, Silkscreen, Drill, Rout, Test and Cad Reference AOI files.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a neat and organized workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to distinguish valid design and manufacturability concerns.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written, along with the ability to read English is necessary to perform this job.
• Must be able to understand fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Understand basic arithmetic (metric and inches) in reference to instructions where interpretations are required.
• Valor/Genesis experience in a manufacturing environment

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum three years experience working as a CAM operator in a PCB manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of HDI Technologies and/or the ability to generate scripts is a plus.
• Bacon JTS Software experience a plus.

DESIRED EDUCATION:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

SALARY RANGE: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE
