Job summary

Sierra Circuits, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Operator for the graveyard shift (10PM–7:30AM) in Sunnyvale, CA. You will set up and run PCB fabrication equipment, measure first articles, verify dimensions, and ensure product quality according to drawings and travelers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 2–6 years fabrication operator experience in PCB manufacturing.
• Must read and understand technical work instructions.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment to perform fabrication tasks.
• Use Caliper and V-score checker to measure and inspect First Article.
• Check FA dimensions against customer drawings and adjust as needed.
• Inspect and clean products for debris and burrs after processing.
• Log job status in PCB software (ProCim) and file NCMR for rejects.
• Maintain inventory of rout bits and entry stocks.
• Perform daily machine maintenance and keep a clean workspace.
• Inform managers of potential problems and follow safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:

The Fabrication Operator is responsible for processing printed circuit boards (PCB) panels thru various fabrication processes according to the travelers, Blue Print or as directed by Managers while following department standard operating procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Fabrication Operator

• Check traveler for due date and special request for priority before setting up and starting the process.
• Set up and/or operate equipment’s/machines Excellon ,Hitachi , AccuScore , Bevel Mate , Barnaby (Routing, Scoring/NC Scoring, NC Bevel/Hand Bevel, Countersink/Counter Bore, etc.) to perform fabrication tasks.
• Use tools as caliper, digital v-score checker for measuring and inspect First Article (FA) to meet customer specifications.
• Check dimension of FA with customer drawing and make adjustment necessary before running product.
• Inspect and clean product for debris burrs after finishing the process.
• Log job status on computer using the PCB software (ProCim) and complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) form for all products that are rejected from drilling and/or fabrication process before moving to the next process.
• Maintain inventory of rout bits and special entry stocks.
• Perform daily maintenance on machines and house keeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Inform Managers (Fabrication Manager, Production Manager, etc.) of any potential problems.
• Ability to follow and comply with company’s internal safety policies as well as external regulatory agencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 2-6 years’ experience a fabrication operator for PCB Manufacturing Company.
• Previous experience and knowledge of CNC Processes a must.
• Ability to read and understand technical work instructions.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds maximum.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the day.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all time.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new skills and tasks as required.
• Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. MUST be able read, write and speak English.
• Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management
• Self-motivator and a sense of ownership and urgency.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.

The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 20 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary.

ENVIRONMENT:

• The manufacturing facility is exposed to electronics assembly equipment and materials.
• May require working in a controlled environment with specific temperature and humidity requirements.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to perform the work.
• Production floor- Machine shop environment
