Job summary

HOME-HEALTHMED SERVICES® LLC is seeking Personal Care Aides to support clients in Virginia. Positions available for full-time and part-time staff, with flexible day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, and daily living activities while maintaining dignity and privacy.

Trainees with PCA certification in Virginia and CPR/First Aid credentials are encouraged to apply. Prior home health experience is preferred but not required for motivated candidates who

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Current PCA certification (Virginia) required.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required.
• TB test must be negative.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in personal care or home health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and feeding.
• Provide mobility support including transfers, ambulation and repositioning.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation as part of daily care routines.
• Offer companionship, emotional support and encourage client engagement in activities.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition or behavior to supervisor.
• Provide medication reminders as directed in care plan.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Adhere to infection control, safety and privacy protocols at all times.

Education

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and feeding
• Provide mobility support including transfers, ambulation and repositioning
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation as part of daily care routines
• Offer companionship, emotional support and encourage client engagement in activities
• Monitor and report any changes in client condition or behavior to the supervisor
• Provide medication reminders as directed in the care plan
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
• Adhere to infection control, safety and privacy protocols at all times

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GEDpreferred*
• Current PCA certification (Virginia)
• CPR AED and First Aid certification
• TB Test required (must test negative)
• One (1) year of experience in personal care or home health (preferred)
• Ability to assist clients with mobility or transfer needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate attitude
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
• Ability to work independently and follow written care plans
• Basic documentation and time management skills
