Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Alabama is seeking a patient care assistant to support nurses with vital sign checks, grooming, and daily living activities. You will assist with mobility, meals, and transport for tests or procedures, focusing on safety and compassionate care.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA or patient care assistant program certification, and BLS. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, plus basic computer literacy, are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check vital signs and blood glucose levels as directed.

• Assist patients walking, getting out of bed, changing clothing, and eating.
• Transport patients to other areas of the hospital for testing or procedure(s).

Successful graduation and certification from accredited patient care assistant program or certified nursing assistant program required. Must be BLS certified.Experience:Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and techniques required.Additional Skills/Abilities:Excellent interpersonal skills required. Proficient oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills required.
