Job summary

Cullman Regional Medical Center Inc is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN/LPN supervision in a hospital setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and help with grooming and mobility to ensure comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include patient transport, charting basic information, and promoting excellent patient and guest experiences while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification from accredited CNA program and CNA credential required.
• Current BLS certification required to maintain patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and grooming.
• Check vital signs and monitor glucose as directed by RN/LPN.
• Transport patients to tests or procedures within the hospital.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and feeding as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and report changes to the RN.
• Document care provided using hospital documentation systems.

Job Summary:Assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN to include checking vital signs and blood glucose levels, assisting with grooming activities including bathing, hair washing and brushing.Change and clean patients with incontinence garments and bedpans.Assist patients walking, getting out of bed, changing clothing, and eating.Transport patients to other areas of the hospital for testing or procedure(s).Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.Education:High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful graduation and certification from accredited patient care assistant program or certified nursing assistant program required. Must be BLS certified.Experience:Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and techniques required.Additional Skills/Abilities:Excellent interpersonal skills required. Proficient oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills required.
