This part-time, rotating-shift role emphasizes companionship, assisting with ADLs, meal support, mobility, and adherence to care plans while collaborating with nurses and other staff to uphold safety and infection

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • PCA/CNA certification or relevant caregiving experience preferred.
  • Experience in a senior living or healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to quality care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
  • Background checks and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Assist with meal prep, feeding, and hydration.
  • Monitor changes in residents’ health, behavior, or needs and report to nurses.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
  • Follow care plans and collaborate with nurses and caregivers.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and infection control protocols.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing living spaces.

Description

Highland Hills Retirement Village is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to our residents. As a PCA, you will assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring they maintain dignity, comfort, and a high quality of life in a warm and supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting their overall well-being.

  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper hydration.

  • Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health, behavior, or needs to nursing staff.

  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.

  • Follow care plans and work collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, and other staff.

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control protocols.

  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and organizing residents' living spaces.


Qualifications & Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or relevant experience in caregiving preferred.

  • Previous experience in a senior living, assisted living, or healthcare setting is a plus.
