Job summary

MemorialCare in Laguna Hills, CA seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support the Oncology/General Surgery unit. This full-time, night shift role involves assisting with basic patient care, data collection, and ensuring smooth flow of admission, transfer, and discharge processes.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (CNA and BCLS preferred) and basic computer skills, with 1 year of acute care/telemetry experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of acute care / telemetry experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical and information systems.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality of records.
• Communicates with the RN and health care team in an organized, timely manner.
• Documents patient status in the electronic medical record accurately.
