Job summary

Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, AL seeks a patient care assistant (CNA) to support nursing staff with vital signs, grooming, incontinence care, mobility, and transportation of patients for tests.

You will work under RN/LPN supervision, demonstrate teamwork, and uphold patient safety and compassionate guest experiences. High school diploma and CNA/PCA certification with BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful graduation and certification from accredited patient care assistant program or certified nursing assistant program required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Check vital signs and blood glucose levels as directed by RN/LPN.
• Assist with grooming activities including bathing, hair washing and brushing.
• Change and clean patients with incontinence garments and bedpans.
• Assist patients walking, getting out of bed, changing clothing, and eating.
• Transport patients to other areas of the hospital for testing or procedure(s).

Qualifications: Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful graduation and certification from accredited patient care assistant program or certified nursing assistant program required. Must be BLS certified.

Experience

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and techniques required.

Additional Skills/Abilities
