Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, AL is seeking a patient care assistant to provide basic nursing support under RN/LPN supervision. This full-time (.9 FTE) night shift role involves assisting with vital signs, glucose checks, grooming, mobility, and transporting patients for tests or procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited PCA/CNA program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful graduation and certification from accredited patient care assistant program or certified nursing assistant program required.
• Must be BLS certified.

Responsabilités

• Assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN, including checking vital signs and blood glucose levels, and assisting with grooming activities such as bathing, hair washing and brushing.
• Change and clean patients with incontinence garments and bedpans.
• Assist patients walking, getting out of bed, changing clothing, and eating.
• Transport patients to other areas of the hospital for testing or procedures.
• Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
• Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.

Job Summary:
