Job summary

Southern Hearts Homecare of Georgia inc is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants to support clients in their daily lives in Goodwater, AL. You will help with daily activities, meals, mobility, and emotional support while following individualized care plans.

The role requires reliable communication, strong organization, and a commitment to client safety. CPR/First Aid and a valid driver's license are preferred for an in-home care setting.

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• First Aid certification is required.
• TB test is required.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients’ needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client’s plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients’ privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
