Job summary

Country Meadows in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide one-on-one support to residents in their daily routines, social activities and well-being.

Pay starts at $16.75-$18.75/hour (based on shift preference), with opportunities to earn more; every other weekend and holiday off, plus benefits including medical, dental, retirement plans and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18 years of age or older, as permitted by law.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Effective communication with residents, families and coworkers.
• Compassion and patience in all interactions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required by the role.
• English language skills sufficient for safe job performance.

• Dayshift: 7am-3pm
• Overnight: 11pm-7am

PCA Responsibilities:

• Help our residents live their lives to the fullest by assisting them with their routines throughout their day.
• Build bonds through companionship.

• Assist residents in organizing their day and activities and above all, enjoy themselves.

PCA Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18 years of age or older, except as permitted in 2800.54(d).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Skilled in communicating effectively with others, including careful listening, sensitivity to others thoughts and feelings, timely and accurate reporting changes.
• Compassion and patience in all personal interactions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
